Setting Values in Bipolar Stepper Controller Velocity to Arbitrary (Integer) Values

I recently started using Phidgets for my project and have been loving them. I've run into a small problem using the stock (Windows) Phidgets "Bipolar Stepper Controller" application to control a stepper with the STC1005 board. On the "Velocity (Continuous) Control" tab I can't seem to set the velocity limit to any value between the notches in the slider which appear to be in 690 increments. Most other Phidgets applications appear to let a user input specific values for the target parameter. For instance if i want a speed of 750 I appear to be SOL using the application. Im betting I could do this in code but the user interface is just so convenient to use for setup and testing. Am I missing something obvious that would let me set the target/max velocity to any arbitrary integer?
