Hi all. I have a PhidgetInterfaceKit 0/16/16
ID: 1012_2, which has worked faultlessly for the past 7 or so years.
Today, when attaching a new output LED, it went down. (taking out my computer sound system and a monitor. God knows how that happened?)
Thing is, is there anywhere I can send it to be repaired? (I live in the UK BTW).
Windows fault code (Windows 10, 64 bit)
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A USB port reset request failed.
When connecting the USB cable, Windows does acknowledge the fact.
Just an update. I have loaded Phidget CP to my W10,64 laptop. and connected the 1012 to it. LT does not see 1012.
But I get 5v on all 5v to ground points on the 1012.
Here is the most uptodate log file.

Based on your description of the failure, it sounds like something pretty serious happened electrically. If the board no longer shows up in the Phidget Control Panel (when it did moments before this incident) it's likely that the USB processor has been damaged.
You could try to repair it by replacing the USB processor, but there's no telling what else was damaged in the process so it would probably be cheaper to order a new device. We still sell the 1012, and we also have the REL1101 + HUB0000 which is the successor to the 1012 (but you must use the Phidget22 version of our software libraries if you use the REL1101)
It's the middle of the three large rectangular chips. But again, I don't recommend attempting a repair even if you have surface mount tools, because there's no guarantee it's the only broken part.
do you ship to the UK?
Yes, we ship directly to the UK and we also have dealers in the UK.
Will the REL1101 + HUB0000 work with the 1102 IR-REFLECTIVE SENSOR?
Yes, the ports on the HUB0000 can be opened as a VoltageRatioInput object in order to use simple sensors like the 1102.
