CO - Carbon Monixide Sensor Needed

Postby Redpenguin » Thu Feb 09, 2012 6:20 pm

I am looking for a Carbon Monixide Sensor that could be integrated as well are Smoke/Fire detectors. This would be used to alert homeowners of problems in there house while they were away. To protect pets, where a simple CO and fire detector alarm would not help.

Thanks,
Ryan

Alternatively, Sparkfun sells a lone chip that you can look into :http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9403, as well as other related gas sensing chips. They are much cheaper than what Glenvn linked to, but they are most likely "you get what you paid." I haven't tried them so I can't really comment on them. From the description, they appear to require a 24 hour heat up time before they're accurate.

Since they have analog outputs, you will be able to connect them to our InterfaceKit products.
