externals could not load due to incorrect architecture

Post by pkokoras »

I installed the Phidget Control Panel on an Apple M1 Monterey and everything works fine.)
However, when I start my Max (v8.5) patches all the externals show the following message:
"could not load due to incorrect architecture"
and therefore cannot be loaded...

Is it possible to update the MaxMSP API to make it compatible with M1/2 processors?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, I will look at adding Apple silicon arch to the Max externals soon. In the meantime, you'll need to force Max to run as x64.
