SOLVED - Problems with Web Page on the SBC

Postby daxter » Mon Feb 18, 2013 12:06 pm

Hi,

I'm new with the Phidgets (and with the English), so I have install the Phidgets with Windows, I followed the 1072 User Guide and then I installed Python with SSH following the guidance OS - Phidget SBC.

I then followed the guide for Web Pages on the SBC, I wrote the static page (Hello World) in html so everything is ok, then I copied the example in Python in /var/www/cgi-bin with nano editor, when I try to turn the Python page on the browser "192.168.0.20/cgi-bin/led_state.py" the browser don't find the page and I have 404 error.

For two days I feel anything but nothing, you know what it could be?

Thank you very much in advance!

SOLVED

It was simply a permission issue, I changed the permissions
with chmod of led_state.py and now everything works!

Hi

I seem to be having same issue except i have changed the permissions to 777 and still get a 404 error in ie, in chrome it seem to default back to the http://192.168.1.38/cgi-bin/status-system.sh page.

To what did you set the permissions?

cheers

solved
was creating .py file on windows machine and copying across suspect the encoding was messing up if i copy paste direct to the nano window works fine. used chmod 777 *.py again
