Dear Phidgets users,
we want to be able to generate a vibration for a tactile detection test. So we got a USB neck/shoulder-massager that we disassambled. Inside we found a small motor with off-center-weights, and an on/off-switch. Nothing else.
The motor operates only on 5V from the USB cord, but it turns out it is very hard to control the power to a specific usb-port... Is there a phidgets solution, controlling this engine with any of the phidgets devices and any API (eg python)?
We are of course not limited to this engine, so if you have another nice solution to generate a vibration using phidgets we are keen to know how you would go about it. Though, it is important that we can control, at least, on and off via an API.
