Need a new type of sensor? Interfaced a sensor that you want to tell everyone about?

Grove Temp & Humidity sensor SEN11301P

Postby vitterrimo » Thu Feb 12, 2015 10:02 am

Hi,

i bought this sensor

http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove-_ ... ity_Sensor

It's possible to read che value of temp and humidity with Phidget 8/8/8 ?

how to connect the wires ?

How to read the data ?

Thanks

This sensor seems to combine a temperature and humidity sensor and communicate both values over the signal pin on the board. In the arduino example, they use "DHT.h" to decode the data into the two separate sensor values. In order to use this sensor with Phidgets, you'd have to port the code in DHT.h to your Phidget project so you can get the sensor values out of this data signal. Then connecting it would be as simple as connecting the GND, VCC and SIG pins to the corresponding wires of a Phidget analog sensor cable.

This isn't an analog sensor - it seems to be using a proprietary protocol to communicate data, and it won't work with Phidgets - seems to be targeted for Arduino.
