Sensor cable length -- problems?

Postby athena » Wed Oct 17, 2012 11:56 am

Hi all,

Thanks for the great forum it's a great resource with great help. I have a 1128 Sonar sensor (hooked up to a 1018 relay) and I want to know if using a roughly 70' sensor cable is going to cause me any significant problems. I can use a USB extender, but sensor wire is much cheaper. Feel free to voice any other creative solutions

Thanks! :D

While it is possible to use long wires, there may be some reduction in accuracy.

Take a look at the Effects of Long Wires for some ideas of how to compensate for the loss of accuracy.
