First time Phidget User

Hi. Recently, I received a 3257E and a matching controller (1065). I wanted to get a better feel for the tech and the programming language, so I downloaded the LABView 32-bit libraries/drivers and tried giving the Encoder Example a run. However, the program seems to have trouble finding the actual device. Normally, the example would give me a list of available encoders and inputs, but no such luck. What could I do to fix it? Thanks.

As a side note, the motor works fine on the Phidget Control Panel.

First thing, make sure the Control Panel is closed and that the LABView example is the only program accessing the controller.
