My First Phidget project

Hi Everyone,

I have just received my first phidget ( a 2/2/2) interface board.

Set up was easy and painless, I am using a kids electronics toy as my prototyping board (quite useful as it has info about the components printed on it).

My first test was to use the analog light sensor on the board, this works and I can see its value changing in the InterfaceKit flash file.

What I would like to achieve next is to have the height value for a box to be driven by the value from the analog in.

Please bear in mind that i am a newcomer to as3, i have used as2 for basic functionality.

I come from a design background and am not a programmer as such, but can usually bash my way through tough problems with a few late nights and some logic.

any basic info on areas i should look into will be greatly appreciated.

Ok well things are going much better than i thought, have managed to control several parameters of objects in flash such as alpha level, height, x position and also to trigger playback if my sensor reaches more than 150.

Phidgets are turning out to be everything i hoped for.
