Idler pulleys are standard pulleys with an integrated bearing. This allows them to spin freely without impeding the rotation in your system. This is useful for when you want an adjustable way to tension a belt system that doesn't impact the movement of the belt or place additional load on the motor.
Note: A small amount of Loctite can be used on the shaft to prevent the idler pulley from shifting laterally on the shaft if this is an issue.
This pulley can be used with any GT5 series belt. The size of belt required depends on the desired distance between your two pulleys; for installation details see the Rotary Motion Guide.
